The Lake Macquarie Music Society is proud to announce what's happening this season
Established in 1980 when then mayor Geoff Pasterfield called a public meeting, it has been headed up since then by president Mercia Buck.
Lake Macquarie Orchestra was formed in 2006 as an important subsidiary of The Music Society. It is dedicated to the development of orchestral music in the region, giving professional opportunities to regional musicians.
The main divisions are Vocal, Piano, Instrumental and Ensembles, and School Choirs. The eisteddfods are sponsored by many local businesses which means prizes can be offered for winners.
The choir developed from a mixed group which began in 1981 in response to the desire of Lake Macquarie City Council to encourage cultural activities in the area.
WE PROUDLY ANNOUNCE AN INCREASE IN PRIZEMONEY FOR THE WARNERS BAY LIONS CLUB STAGE & SCREEN PRIZE TO $2000!
Would you like to help out Lake Macquarie Music Society through a donation or sponsorship. We are a not-for-profit organisation and survive off donations and sponsorships.
